  • 1) When the 'switch_resistance' is not specified, is there a default value of 0 or others?
    • Ftuffner (talk) 16:44, 24 April 2020 (UTC) The default is given under the switch_impedance property. I attempted to clarify this.
  • 2) Do we consider to add a column that lists the default values of the properties?
    • Ftuffner (talk) 16:44, 24 April 2020 (UTC) I'd say "no" for this case, since most of the properties don't have defaults (because they are object or connection properties). I clarified the status property, since that was the only one really missing.
  • 3) The math is not displayed properly, I have to skip those parts.
    • Ftuffner (talk) 16:44, 24 April 2020 (UTC) The math is pretty simple anyways, so you're not missing much. Hopefully the backend plugin will get fixed soon.
  • 4) Is it decided to work in banked mode only? Will the changes remain compatible to the previous model files. This was discussed in the email, but I do not find the final decision in the wiki page. Maybe I overlooked...
    • Ftuffner (talk) 16:44, 24 April 2020 (UTC) Clarified that it is banked-only. In terms of back compatibility, my first inclination is "no", but we can discuss that. I mostly want to go the "no" route because keeping all of the various interfacing mechanisms is part of what has complicated the code so much. It would be nice to simplify it here.
  • 5) The hyperlinks may take sometimes to create. You may consider to assign this task to those colleagues who cannot enter the lab.
    • Ftuffner (talk) 16:44, 24 April 2020 (UTC) The thought has come up. One trade-off is we'd like to find someone who would at least use GLD in the future. While it is good to be helpful, we need someone who at least knows how to use GLD to update the wiki and populate the pages. My desire to train someone to do that for them to disappear shortly is very limited.
  • 6) The class is named switch_object, while we mention object switch quite often. This "bugs" me really... (This is a "joke", never mind, I just want to mimic the phase "X bugs me...") =)
    • Ftuffner (talk) 16:44, 24 April 2020 (UTC) It is very annoying. I was trying to consistent with the source code, but I know I've missed instances.
